1951 Lighthouse "DuPlex"
Two stories, two bedrooms, endless adventures.
This Lighthouse "DuPlex" must be one of the strangest and most wonderful trailers we’ve ever come across. At 28 feet in length, it actually has an eat-in kitchen, living room, full bath and TWO bedrooms. Its brilliant design uses multiple ceiling heights in a way that is nearly undetectable, resulting in spaces spread across two levels that all feel like you’ve got enormous headroom, even though the trailer is only 11’6” tall.
We plan on restoring the trailer to its original glory. First above all else, it needs a new roof that doesn’t look like a patch job. Once that’s done, the trailer can be made available for use as a prop in film and still creative productions. If you really want to stay in it as a travel trailer, anything is possible. We stayed in it when we drove it back from New Mexico to Washington DC, and were giddy with excitement the whole time. We can't wait to share the feeling, whether it's before or after our thorough restoration. Contact us for availability.
